How I got here.
I’m Anthony Perrault, a senior product designer in San Francisco who studied graphic design at the Academy of Art University. The path there started with curiosity. On a 2012 MacBook Air, I found After Effects through a Red Giant tutorial on YouTube and taught myself the program. Then I went to Paris and taught myself Illustrator on a friend’s computer. I work in product, brand, and motion, and I design each as a system.
I have 9+ years across SaaS, enterprise tech, financial services, and legal tech. At JPMorgan I was one of six Advanced Graphic Specialists. I held final approval on visuals for investment presentations and M&A decks, and I built the asset library 25+ analysts and designers worked from. At Toptal I build design systems and reusable component libraries in Figma, using variables and logical expressions so one file can carry multiple themes and brands and still hand off clean. I keep learning the same way I started: close to 30 certifications across product, visual, and AI design, including a Google UX certificate and seven from Anthropic Academy.
AI sits in my build loop now: it turns the design I’ve already made into code I ship, so I can take a concept from Figma to a deployed site in about a day, the way I designed and built this one. The design stays in my hands. Epok, Aurality, Voltaic, and Freshly are the projects that got me the JPMorgan job. The Cover Genius Weather Protection film is the spec ad that won me the Cover Genius role, where I turned complex insurance products into clean, scannable visuals. I do the design myself.
